My name is Erick, and my last name means something inappropriate in German. I discovered this back in high school when I was Googling myself. (And Germans have some freaky porn. Yikes.) I also discovered that there's another guy with my exact name out in California. He takes pictures of car dealerships.

I'm an American three years into an undergraduate degree and three-and-a-half years into a long term relationship. My entire educational background has prepared me for sociological research, but I decided that's no fun. Office space is just a collection of soul crushing cubes.

After weighing all my options, I've decided I want to be a cop. I've been hitting the gym, trying to whip myself into shape. I'll be applying for the local police academy in January, hopefully able to join right after I graduate with a degree I have no intention on using.

I want to try dressing nicer…

but I don’t know if a white blazer looks tacky. Does it? Here, I’m looking at this white one I found at Old Navy. And it’s linen, so it should be light-weight enough for me to wear it in the Spring/Summer. Right now, the only casual blazer I’ve got (and the only blazer that even fits me) is corduroy, and that’s gonna be hellishly too hot in a month or two. Really, it’s a fall jacket that I bought in the middle of winter for cheap…
